Sweet Corn Seeds
Sweet corn is a high-outcrossing, wind-pollinated crop that may be cultivated with Sweet Corn Seeds. On solitary plants, it is monoecious, with distinct male and female blooms. It is a long-season crop, with fully developed seed taking up to 120 days. Warm, dry weather is required for seed drying, and sufficient water is required for seed maturity and ear development. High daytime temperatures and low night-time temperatures are ideal for the pollination. Sweet corn thrives on soils that are rich and well-balanced. Due to the strong outcrossing potential of sweet corn, at least 200 plants should be planted to sustain a population.
